June 15, 2010 Acting Director of InvestUkraine Ihor Nikolaiko had a meeting with Market Adviser Europe of the Dutch Agency (NL Agency) Regonda Bierens. Also Assistant of economic affairs of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine Kateryna Tushynska took part in the meeting.

According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 17.05.2010 № 356, the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations was renamed into the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Development and the Regulation of the Agency was approved, which determined that the Agency is the central body of executive power in the sphere of investment activity.

May 14-16, 2010 V International Investment Forum took place in Ternopil National Economic University, organized by the Ternopil Regional State Administration and the Tourism department of the Ternopil Regional State Administration, during which II Western-Ukrainian tourist exhibition-festival was held in the shopping and entertainment center “Podoliany”.

April 26, 2010 at the Hotel “Vozdvyzhenska” the award ceremony for graduates of the first cycle of training program for specialists on FDI attraction, organized by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) “Local investment and national competitiveness”(LINC), took place.

March 18, 2010 in the Ukrainka city (Kyiv region) the opening of the international project "Sustainable urban development", funded by the European Union in the framework of the program “Cooperation and dialogue in the field of urban development” (CIUDAD), took place. The opening of the project of the European Union was visited by the head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Ambassador Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira.

FDI MAGAZINE, which is part of the world-famous newspaper The Financial Times, in February 2010 held a competition for the title of “European city or region of the future 2010/11”, to identify the most promising region in Europe for investment attraction, economic development and business development.

March 16, 2010 the meeting of Acting Director of InvestUkraine Olena Hantsyak-Kaskiv, Head of Investment Department Ganna Vlyalko, deputy director general on foreign investment of the State Enterprise "Invest Ukraine" Roman Kachur, head of the division of analytical and organizational provision of work of the National Agency of Ukraine for foreign investment and development Ivanna Myronenko-Dribna with the director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Benilux-Ukraine Luc Pisson, manager of networking Olena Martynenko and a partner of the international law firm “Rogach Pastukhov Manoylenko” Tatiana Rogach, took place.

March 15, 2010 the meeting of the top management of the group OSHO Ventures with the representatives of InvestUkraine took place. The meeting summed up the first phase of successful cooperation between InvestUkraine and OSHO Ventures, which began in January 2009 and ended with a positive decision to launch a large-scale investment projects in mining industry in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

March 5, 2010 Acting Director of InvestUkraine Olena Hantsyak-Kaskiv, Deputy Director of InvestUkraine Maksym Ivanov, Head of Investment department Ganna Vlyalko and assistant to the director Olena Krynychna had a meeting with the head of economic and trade department of the Embassy of Spain in Ukraine Alejandro Nieto and a specialist of the same division Inigo de Pedro Amatriya.

In continuation of successful cooperation between Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Ukrainian Centre for Foreign Investment Promotion (InvestUkraine) there has been published a January 2010 issue of economic magazine JETRO Sensor, dedicated to the economic situation and the overall investment climate in Ukraine.

On December 11, 2009 in the framework of the official visit to London the delegation from InvestUkraine visited the premises of the Financial Times and had a meeting with Inna Schlepina,  Business Development Manager of fDi Intelligence and  David East , Business Development Director of fDi Intelligence and Angus Cushly, the Head of FT Business.

On December 11, 2009 the meeting between Olena Hantsyak-Kaskiv, Acting Director of InvestUkraine and Iryna Tymczyszyn,  Director of Ukrainian-British City Club (UBCC) took place in London.

December 3, 2009 the meeting of Acting Director of the Ukrainian Center for Foreign Investment Promotion Olena Hantsyak-Kaskiv with the mayor of the town of Ukrainka, Head of the Association of small towns of Ukraine Pavel Kozyrev, took place.

November 20, 2009 representatives of InvestUkraine, Acting Director Olena Hantsyak-Kaskiv and manager of information department Tetiana Pasichnyk, had a working visit to Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky. The purpose of the visit was acquaintance with the Ukrainian factory which produces automotive electronics systems and contact systems of the German company Leopold Kostal GmbH&Co. KG, which is currently the largest producer and the taxpayer in Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky.

November 19 at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Kyiv, the third annual conference on Twinning, organized by the Administrative Office of the Twinning Program in the Department of Civil Service of Ukraine with support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the European Commission.

Twenty listeners from 10 cities and from InvestUkraine gathered on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in Pusha Ozerna (Kyiv region) to take part in the introductory seminar - "Facts and myths about foreign direct investment (FDI), which was held by the specialists of the USAID project “Local investments and national competitiveness”(LINC) from Czech Republic and Ukraine.

October 14-16 2009 The Second Annual Ukrainian-Arabic Business Conference “Investment Prospects in Ukraine” within the framework of the Arab-Ukrainian economic cooperation forum. The event was supported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and under the patronage of the Embassy of Kuwait in Ukraine.

October 19, 2009 in Kiev, at the hotel «Hyatt Regency Kiev», during in the course of the visit of the Mexican company Gruma (hyperlink-www.gruma.com) to Ukraine, under the patronage of the Embassy of Mexico in Ukraine, a working meeting of the Mexican delegation with the representatives of InvestUkraine (Ukrainian Center for Foreign Investment Promotion, public institution “InvestUkraine”), International Scientific and Industrial Corporation Westa (www.westa.com.ua) and Corporation Agro-Soyuz (www.agrosoyuz.ua) took place.

Спикер Верховной Рады Украины Владимир Литвин подписал закон о внесении изменений в закон Украины о государственном бюджете Украины на 2009 г. и некоторые другие законы Украины, которым, в частности, выделяется 9,8 млрд грн. на подготовку Евро-2012. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба Верховной Рады.

October 7-9, 2009 the representatives of the National agency for foreign investment and development took part in the conference "Creating a national investment information system”, which was organized by the project “Local Investment and Competitiveness” (LINC), funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

October 6, 2009 CEO of President of the International Foundation of market promotion Mr. Stanislav Sokolenko and the Association "UkrTurІnformInvest" Mr. Vladimir Puchkov visited InvestUkraine with the purpose to discuss prospects for cluster policy development in Ukraine and to identify mechanisms of cooperation between the International Foundation of market promotion, the Association "UkrTurІnformInvest"  and InvestUkraine.

С 8 по 15 сентября 2009 года в Германии в рамках проекта повышения квалификации молодых управленческих кадров при поддержке Министерства экономики Украины и немецкого агентства «InWent» состоялся учебный семинар на тему: «Современная региональная политика в контексте европейской интеграции».

23 сентября 2009 года прошла встреча представителей InvestUkraine с делегатами японской компаний Toyota Tsusho Machinery LLC, в ходе которой обсуждали перспективы дальнейшего сотрудничества.

On September 9, 2009, a seminar organized by the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, the Ukraine Japan Center, and the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” was held. Mr. Fumikazu Sugiura, a financial expert from Japan, participated in the seminar that was conducted in accordance with the joint statement issued by Prime Minister of Japan Taro Aso and Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko in Tokyo on March 25, 2009 as to sending to Ukraine the financial sector expert to support the efforts made by the Ukrainian side to mitigate economic difficulties.
